Fall Small Group Kick-Off Event
Join us Sunday, Aug 22 from 12 noon to 1:30 pm as we will gather in the
Community Center to share a meal provided by Laura’s Catering, celebrate
and affirm our fabulous small group leaders, watch an inspiring video of
testimonies from some of our small groups, and allow new folks to see what
small group life is like at Blue Grass.
If you are a small group member and there is someone you have wanted to
invite to your group, invite them to lunch with us. Children are also
invited. It will be a delightful time of connecting and enjoying one
another.
If you are not currently a small group member, come and enjoy lunch on us
and get to meet several of our group members. We will set a special place
for you and your family.
Sign up on the bulletin tear-off sections in worship on Aug. 1, 8, and 15.
The deadline for signing up for lunch is Aug. 15 just so we can give Laura’s
Catering a pretty good idea for food. You can also contact Sue at

Study Group for Women
A new small group bible study for women will
begin on Thurs., Sept. 9 led by Pam Young.
The first 12 weeks will be a study on the 23rd Psalm.
The study will meet from 6:30-7:30 pm. If interested

Need Some Parenting Wisdom?
Please join us on Sunday mornings during the
9:30 service for an 8-week parenting study
by John Rosemond.
Rosemond is an awesome speaker on parenting
issues and the author of "Parenting by the Book."
He is a proponent of traditional parenting and
incorporates Biblical principals into his lessons.
This parenting study will begin on Sunday, August 29
at 9:30 am and will meet at the House of Hope.

New Bible Study
Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 3 from 6:00—7:30 PM
in room 201 we will start a Bible Study looking closely
at the New Testament book of Matthew. We will read
the whole book of Matthew over the course of several
weeks and look closely at the unique perspective that
Matthew gives us of the birth, life, teachings, death,
and resurrection of Jesus.
How is Matthew like Luke and Mark? How is Matthew
different from any of the other three Gospels? What is
his unique message for us today? Bring your Bible and
your eyes and ears. Study taught by Sue Kincaid.

Recognition and Promotion
Join us on Sun., Aug. 8th from 9:30-10:30 in
the Community Center as we recognize kids
in Promiseland and nursery who are being
promoted, and as we present Bibles to those
entering 3rd grade this year. It will also be a
special time to recognize leaders and teachers
of children’s ministries.
Light refreshments will be served. |
