Easter at the 4H Center 2010
When we invite the north-side community to our Easter Celebration at the Vanderburgh County 4H Center, it takes a lot of dedicated volunteers to pull the event together. Whether in front or behind the scenes, there are plenty of places for you to get involved.
Some of these positions will need to arrive 45 minutes prior to the service. There will be a walk-through orientation to your tasks on Sat., Apr. 3 at 2 pm at the 4-H Center. Your attendance is highly recommended.

WORSHIP SERVICE
Choir Members
Sing with EXALT! worship choir during both Easter Sunday services (8:30 and 10:30am).
Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 6:30PM, beginning March 3rd.
This is an open call. No audition, or previous participation is required.
On Saturday, April 3rd - attend rehearsal at 1:30 pm.
On Sunday, April 4th - arrive at 8:00, and sing in the 8:30 and 10:30 services

CHILD CARE
Nursery Attendants
Provide safe and loving care for newborns and toddlers (ages 4 and under) of families who are attending worship services. Note: Nursery volunteers must have attended Blue Grass for a minimum of six months prior to serving in this area. Appropriate paperwork for a background check for each nursery servant will be completed and submitted to Blue Grass staff/parish committee prior to serving in the nursery. Needed:
Twelve (12) Nursery Attendants for the 8:30 Service, and
Twelve (12) Nursery Attendants for the 10:30 Service

HOSPITALITY
Outside Door Greeters
Provide a warm welcome to those entering the facility. (Big smile and firm handshake required!!)
On Sat, April 3, attend orientation at 2 PM. On Sun April 4 arrive 45 minutes early for service. Needed:
Three (3) Outside Door Greeters for the 8:30 Service, and
Three (3) Outside Door Greeters for the 10:30 Service

Welcome Table Attendants
Sit at Welcome Tables and greet guests, provide directions, pass out welcome gifts when guests are leaving.
On Saturday, April 3rd - attend team meeting and orientation at 2:00 pm.
On Sunday, April 4th - arrive at 9:45 for the 10:30 service. Needed:
Six (6) Welcome Table Attendants needed for 8:30 service
Six (6) Welcome Table Attendants needed for 10:30 service

Refreshment Attendants
Shift #1: 8:00-10:00 Set out food, make drinks, serve
Shift #2: 10:00-12:00 Serve, replenish food and drinks as needed, clean up. Needed:
Six (6) Refreshment Volunteer for Shift #1, and
Six (6) Refreshment Volunteers for Shift #2

Bakers
Make 2 dozen Apple Butter or Ham & Egg muffins. Download recipes HERE.

PARKING
Shuttle Van Drivers/Attendants
Provide transportation from overflow parking to the auditorium. Must be 25 y/o or older. Needed:
Eight (8) Shuttle Service Attendants for the 8:30 Service, and
Eight (8) Shuttle Service Attendants for the 10:30 Service

Parking Attendants
Positioned along the roadways throughout the 4H center to facilitate the flow of car traffic to child care facility,
parking areas, etc. Needed:
Eight (8) Parking Attendants for the 8:30 Service, and
Eight (8) Parking Attendants for the 10:30 Service

Use of Minivan
Provide your clean, functioning minivan for use as a shuttle.
