COVID Updates

Rev. Doug Heiman   -

UPDATE 8/26/2021 – A Message From Pastor Doug
I hope you and your family are staying well with the recent surge in COVID cases.

I wanted to alert you for what we feel necessary to do. If Vanderburgh County goes “Red” in the weekly report of COVID cases, we will require masks for all gatherings at our Blue Grass campus for ages Kindergarten and up.

The Administrative Council has determined, through the input of health workers, that we should require masks if we hit Red. This Wednesday’s reporting showed us still at Orange. As you know, this can change weekly.

However, please note that if we are at Red one week and go back to Orange the next week, we will keep the mask requirement in place until we are certain that we are on a downward trend in numbers over a few weeks’ span. So, please be patient and bear with us all as we attempt to do what we believe is best for the greater Blue Grass community.

In the meantime, you are encouraged to wear masks to protect our children in particular.

UPDATE 8/10/2021 – A Message From Pastor Doug
As we continue to deal with COVID, I encourage us to take the measures that we can to keep ourselves and others safe from this relentless virus which continues to morph into new and stronger mutations.

As your pastor, I desire that we stay healthy and well physically. So, let me
encourage you to consider getting vaccinated if you have not done so, or taking other precautions to keep you and others well.

Let’s take care of ourselves so that we can effectively be the Church and live out our vision to seek and reach our world for Jesus Christ. There are so many people who need Jesus! Our world desperately needs Jesus!

As has been our policy since mid-May, masks on our campus are welcome, but optional with the exception of Home For Your Heart School which is asking all adults entering the building during school hours to wear a mask.

Additionally, if you are feeling unwell, have a cough, or a fever, we ask that you worship with us online at,, or rather than attending in person.

As conditions continue to change, we will be prepared to do so as well. (In either direction.)
