Last year, we all watched the news coverage as Hurricane Irma made landfall, leaving behind a path of devastation, the effects of which continue to be felt. At the time, many of us were wondering what to do. We wanted to know how we could help. Early Response Teams were quick to ask that we wait to send teams until the initial cleanup had begun and a long term recovery plan was in place.
That time has come.
During the week of November 10th-17th, we’re sending a team to join in the work taking place to help those impacted by Hurricane Irma as they work toward recovery in Northeast Florida. Much of the work will focus on cleaning out homes and helping with some minor rebuilding. You don’t have to have any special skills to help out. All we ask is for willing hearts and a desire to share the love of Christ in service.
If you’re interested in being part of this team, please plan to attend an informational meeting at our Main Campus at noon on Sunday, July 29th.
