PRESS RELEASE      Contact: Greg Graham (812) 499-4295

Evansville, IN – On Friday morning, December 2, students from two EVSC elementary schools will take part in a Feed My Starving Children mobile packing event at Blue Grass UMC at 14240 Petersburg Rd. in Vanderburgh County.

During Friday’s sessions, student volunteers from Scott School (9-11AM) and Oak Hill School (11:30a – 1:30p) will hand-pack rice, soy, dried vegetables and a nutritionally complete blend of vitamins and minerals into bags which are then sealed, boxed, placed on pallets and shipped to our incredible partners working hard to reach the neediest children around the world.

-NOTE- This is a highly energetic and visual rich process.

This is the fourth time Blue Grass has hosted a Feed My Starving Children mobile packing event over the last six years.  With this weekend’s event, volunteers from Blue Grass will have packed over  1,000,000 life giving meals for needy children throughout the world.

During the event, students and representatives from each school as well as representatives from FMSC and Blue Grass UMC will be available for interview.
