Three mini-sessions of cooking classes will be offered in September. The first class is Herbs & Spices.
Join us as we learn how to use fresh herbs and dried spices in our cooking—basil and dill, paprika and cumin, even salt and pepper.
More accurately, you’ll learn how to season your dishes and make them taste amazing. It’s not always as easy as knowing one herb from another or following a recipe precisely. It’s a bit more of an art—an art you’re going to master.
This course will be taught by Priscilla Campbell and will meet on Thurs, Sept. 13 from 6:30-8pm in the Chapel Campus kitchen.

Sept. 20 – Cooking with Fish
Join us for a much requested class on cooking with fish. Our instructor will take a wide selection of fresh, seasonal seafood and demonstrate how to prepare it from scratch as we discuss sourcing, how to buy the best fish and how to cook it whether steamed, pan-fried, grilled or baked. By the end of the class you’ll be confident with buying, cleaning, filleting, and we’ll show you how to cook different types of fish and seafood in a variety of ways that you can recreate at home. This free class will be held on Thursday Sept. 20 from 6:30-pm-8pm in the Chapel Campus kitchen. The instructor for this class is Priscilla Campbell.
Sept. 27 – Grilling Season Basics
Get up to speed on the basics of grilling and together we’ll create an unforgettable menu. Learn tips on preparing an assortment of great grilling essentials on the backyard barbecue or inside on the stovetop with a flavors that will keep your friends and family coming back for seconds. From fire-roasted skewer appetizers, a perfectly grilled beef entrée, a tasty side and even a grilled dessert, you’ll be ready to impress everyone at the backyard barbecue. Join us for a great time; we’ll show you how simple, fun, and satisfying grilling can be. Our featured griller for this class is Ken Larmore.
