Week 6 Repairing the Hole in the World
Day #36 Mon Feb 8
Read Philippians 4:8-13
Paul was content in any and all circumstances. Can you say that? Or are you getting tired of the images of the poor? Did you watch the big game yesterday? Were you ready to escape into your warm house to that soft couch or the couch at friends, eat $3 bags of chips and the other mountain of snacks at the party, drink your favorite soft drink out of the 30 different kinds available, and cheer on your favorite team? Well, you have those opportunities and those choices. The poor do not. Now that you have had your party, figure out which day this week you can eat three meals of just rice and water similar to the 200,000 packages bagged up this weekend. Don’t whine. Be like Paul. You have been called by our Great God to do great things and to be content in any situation. The world is waiting for your witness. You are part of God’s “Plan A” for the salvation of today’s world.
