The Women’s Friday Fellowship, a Bible Study group series for all women, will begin again on Friday, August 30th at 9:00am.
Our morning schedule will be worship and praise music with Melody Plisky and Nancy English from 9-9:20am, a main message from Mindy Humphrey until 9:50am, break for the café, and 3 options for a break-out session from 10-11:00am. The café is open all morning.
In the main messages Mindy will be leading us in Christianity Today’s 2018 Book of the Year, Liturgy of the Ordinary by Tish Harrison Warren. This book teaches that we can become aware of God’s presence in surprising ways and embrace the sacred in the ordinary and the ordinary in the sacred. Purchase your copy HERE. Chapter 1 will be the topic for the first session on August 30th.
During the break-out sessions at 10am you’ll be able to choose from one of these three options
-Carol Riggs will lead the Titus Sewing Group in making small quilts for children at Lucas Place and care bears for local law enforcement to use during family emergencies. They welcome anyone who enjoys doing things for others through machine or hand sewing.
-Melody Plisky will lead a second break-out group in a DVD study by Pricilla Shirer, Discerning the Voice of God. This will help us explore the relationship with God that makes hearing him an ongoing experience with the root to clear and daily communication with Him in humble obedience and surrender. It will center us in His will and help us discern His voice.
-Sue Kincaid will lead a third break-out group in a study of Philip Yancey’s book and DVD Vanishing Grace that explores the desperate need our world has for grace in the midst of their rejection of the Good News. The series explores what we can do to communicate the Gospel to a culture that is running away from it. No purchase is necessary.
Don’t wait! Go HERE to sign up for this fabulous, joy-filled morning today.
Free childcare is available for this group and may be requested on the registration site. The deadline for childcare sign up is Sunday, August 18th.
