Reading the Bible Together

Last year we invited you to join us in reading through the Bible in a year. It’s been great to hear back from so many who found the experience both rewarding and empowering. Through personal study, weekly sermons, discussions in the Facebook Group, and small group participation people were engaging with the Bible in meaningful ways each day.

We want to keep that momentum going into 2018.

We’d like to invite you to be part of Reading the Bible Together. Together, we’ll continue to engage Scripture, reading selections each day and participating in online conversation. While last year we focused on going through the whole Bible together and catching the broad strokes of God’s story, in 2018 we’re going to be reading smaller daily selections so we can engage them more intimately.

We encourage you to use the WORD method of reflecting on the listed passages. Grab a journal and W- write down a verse that speaks to you. O- observe what’s going on in the passage in its context. R- relate it to your life. D- do something with it.

Bookmarks with the daily readings will be available at the Welcome Desk at our Main Campus, and reading lists will be available here as well. We’ll also continue to post links to the daily readings in the Reading the Bible Facebook Group where you can join in the discussion and share your WORD reflections so we can learn and grow from each other’s insights.

Please consider joining us as, together, we grow in our knowledge and experience of God’s word at work in our lives!
