At Blue Grass Church

Welcome Team
Our Greeters welcome everyone to church on Sunday mornings.  Greeters are stationed in 1 of 3 locations- the outer glass doors, the doors leading into the sanctuary and the Children’s Ministry desk.  They serve as a smiling face to welcome everyone, and show people where places are located. Greeters may also be called upon to pass out bulletins and collect offering. Training will be provided, to explain everything you need to know to be a greeter at Blue Grass.

Welcome Desk Attendants sit at the Welcome Desk to help answer questions. Attendant are provided with the most up to date information about Blue Grass Church events so they can help every person that walks in the door find a place to get connected.

Shuttle Drivers provide rides to and from their cars for those attending worship on Sunday morning. They do this using the church’s golf cart, watching the parking lot for any opportunity to help out.

Helping Hands Ministry
Helping Hands Ministry is an opportunity to assist others through seemingly small gestures that make a big difference! Helping Hands volunteers provide care giver respite, meals for people recovering from medical procedures, and help out with small home repairs. If you have a passion for helping others, a talent for cooking, or a willingness to help out with small home repairs this this is the ministry opportunity for you!

Frozen Meals Ministry
This ministry prepares meals and freezes them into individual containers. The meals are distributed to older members that are not able to fix nutritious meals for themselves.  This group meets once a month to prepare the meals.

Café
During operating hours, you’ll almost always find a crowd gathered around the counter at the Blue Grass Café! Through the help of café volunteers we’re able to provide frappes, coffees, espressos, smoothies, and pastries for a fee. The profits from the café go to support missions projects in the church. Volunteers help to prepare and serve drinks and may also operate the cash register or take money for purchases.  Café Volunteers need to be 16 years old or older.

Outside Events Hospitality Team
Occasionally we have the opportunity to host events at our campus that welcome visitors and participants from outside of our church family. The Outside Events Hospitality Team helps to greet and serve those in attendance at such events as a way to display the love of Christ in action. Some of these events include the Lay District Meetings, Dessert with Doug, and the North Football Dinner. Consider being part of this team if you are someone who likes to meet new people or host fun events!
